Losing a loved one to meningitis is one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to face.

  • Date: Tuesday 5 December 2023
  • Time: 7.00pm-8.30pm

Meningitis Now is here to help you navigate your journey especially during this Christmas and New Year period, providing emotional and practical support. We’re here to listen and support you and your family through this incredible difficult time.

This online event will be presented over Zoom. It will be hosted by Beverley Corbett, Director of Research and Support as well as Community Support Officers from Meningitis Now. Our guest speaker for the evening is Kim Macleod, an author, book publisher, inspirational speaker, business coach, and event organiser. Kim also spoke at our Forever Weekend in 2023. Following the death of her son Calum in 2007, she ran Happiness Clubs and started Scotland's Happiness Day receiving recognition from the Scottish parliament for her work and was presented with a Happy Hero medal.

During the event Kim will share her own experience of Christmas and New Year as well as cover practical tools for this time, dealing with the anticipation of the events and work through how to manage other people during these events.
