Keep Connected – Let’s Talk About Meningitis and Education: Legal Rights

If you are a parent or guardian of a child who has had a meningitis experience and whose education has been affected, this event is for you

Meningitis Now Online Support Events 2020 LB - Education - Megan

Navigating your way through your legal rights in the Education System and finding the support your child is entitled to after meningitis can be a daunting process.

This event will look at the type of support your child could receive and the legal rights in England, covering from 0-25 years. (We plan to run similar events from the devolved nations during the year, based on the individual legal systems.)

Our Keep Connected - Let's Talk About Meningitis and Education session will focus on:

  • Who qualifies for support with education;
  • How to get support with education;
  • Evidencing need;
  • Appeals;
  • Common terminology;
  • Placements;
  • Impact of Covid-19.
