Keep Connected – Looking After Yourself Too

This online support event is for parents and carers actively caring for a family member with meningitis after-effects

Meningitis Now Online Support Events 2021 LB - Looking After You Too

Are you struggling with stress and self-care whilst caring for a loved one?

Looking after a family member following their meningitis experience can be exhausting and may leave you with little time, space and energy for yourself.

Of course - depending on your circumstances and your loved one's needs - this may not be a situation that can be easily resolved. But learning small ways to 'fill your own cup' could mean you become less depleted.

Our Keep Connected - Looking After Yourself Too session will focus on:

  • Sharing personal experiences, difficult thoughts and feelings with others who understand.
  • Discussing and sharing self-care tips and techniques for dealing with stress.
  • Very brief practical 'tasters', demonstrating some different techniques for lowering stress in the moment (optional).
