All the Rightmoves!

16th November 2018

On 6 May next year our good friends at Rightmove, the online property portal, will be sponsoring the MK Marathon and MK Half Marathon (that’s Milton Keynes)

Rightmove marathon fundraising for meningitis

They’re using this opportunity to raise money for an incredible cause close to their hearts: Meningitis Now

They’re aiming to raise £25,000 towards our ongoing work, and looking for 50 team members to join their On The Move family, take part in the race, and help them hit this ambitious fundraising target.

Are you up for the challenge?

Do you fancy becoming a valued member of their On The Move team and running the Rightmove MK Marathon – wearing the shirt and carrying the flag along with them? You might be up for the challenge of running the half marathon – or even trying your hand at the full marathon. Whatever the challenge – the On The Move team needs you!

Because Rightmove is sponsoring the event it means not only do they have some free places (with a £500 fundraising target) but there’s a whole heap of benefits to be had in your exclusive runners' pack, including a T-shirt, water bottle, and discounts for Up & Running stores, free off-site car parking including a shuttle bus to transport you to and from your car, exclusive access to the Rightmove rest and recovery area, VIP treatment when celebrating at the official race after party, and much more.

Second year running

This is the second year that Rightmove have supported us through the MK Marathon and MK Half Marathon. Last year our supporter Anne-Marie Bates, whose husband Phil works for Rightmove, took on the challenge, with family and friends, in memory of her young son Joshua, who sadly died from meningitis in 2016.

Read Anne-Marie's story.

“Rightmove have been such a superb support to us throughout this traumatic time and they pledged to raise £13,000," Anne-Marie said.
