Organised by local furniture maker John Cosens, the fair will feature a range of stalls with beautifully handmade items, including jewellery, greetings cards, stained glass, scarves and accessories and soaps.

Entry to the fair, at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall on Saturday 4 June, is free, with donations coming to us.

“I wanted to stage the craft fair in memory of Wotton-under-Edge teenager Chris Pegler, who died of meningitis in 2010,” John said. The family held their own fun day to remember Chris on Saturday 21 May.

“It’s important to raise awareness and help fund the lifesaving and life-changing work of Meningitis Now, so other families don’t suffer heartache because of this disease.”

There will be a bucket on the door for charity donations as well as a raffle. Refreshments will be on sale, as well as children’s drinks and sweetie bags. Doors open at 10am and close at 4pm.

Other stalls will be displaying bespoke wooden items, blacksmith art, wood turning, ornaments and gifts, fabric craft, teas, beauty treatments, cakes and teas.

Leah Wynn, our Community Fundraiser, said: “We’d like to thank John for organising this event and wish him well with it on the day.”
