Congratulations to Will Thompson and his fellow cyclists - Logan Martin, Max Gibson, Mike Thompson and Callum Jarema – for successfully completing a marathon bike ride from Gretna Green on the Scottish border to Bristol, arriving back ahead of schedule on Friday

Their efforts raised a fantastic £3,500 for our ongoing work in memory of their friend Izzy Gentry, who sadly lost her life to meningitis earlier this year.
Will said “we chose to cycle from Scotland back home to Bristol because me and Izzy used to talk about going to university there together and used to joke about cycling there as we were unsure how we'd get there! I'd just like to emphasise how much of a happy, sweet and uplifting person Izzy always was.”
Leah Wynn, our Community Fundraiser, said: “Thank you so much to Will and the team for taking on this marathon bike ride and well done on getting back earlier than planned. Your efforts will make a real difference in our fight against meningitis for those who are at risk from the disease and those whose lives have already been changed forever because of it.”
