Following the recent news that brave youngster, Millie Dawson, fought for her life after being diagnosed with meningococcal disease, we are urging parents to remain vigilant of the signs and symptoms of meningitis

Everyone at Meningitis Now is pleased to hear that Millie is now recovering at home with her parents, although she still has a long way to go. 

Millie’s story highlights that signs and symptoms can appear in any order, or not at all. A rash was one of Millie’s last symptoms to appear - please do not to wait. If a child or someone you know is ill and getting worse seek medical help immediately. Identifying the disease quickly and taking immediate action can save lives.
