Lockheed Martin staff have raised a fantastic £600, through bake sales held across their sites in Scotland in memory of their friend and colleague, Euan Barley, 39, who tragically lost his life to meningitis in May.

Euan’s employer, Lockheed Martin, a global aerospace, defence, security and technology company generously matched the funds raised by Euan’s colleagues.

Martin Bowman, Strategy Director at Lockheed Martin said:

“Early in May we lost a colleague to Meningitis and it has had a huge effect on our team.We were shocked by how quickly events unfolded and one emotion which is prevalent across the team is one of helplessness.

Although just a small token, this event will help give us a sense of fighting back. I doubt it will be the last as we help Meningitis Now achieve their vision of a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis”.
