Rightmove’s On the Move team is aiming to find 50 team members to run in the MK Marathon and Half Marathon 2019 and help raise a total of £25,000 for Meningitis Now; and if you’re quick, your name could be on the ticket.
Rightmove’s On the Move team calls itself a “team of movers and shakers – ordinary people that are determined to make a difference, no matter what the odds”. It’s certainly true that, should they be able to meet their £25,000 target, they can help make a real difference in the fight against meningitis.
Signing up to On the Move means you will not only get free entry to the MK Marathon, you’ll also get a runners pack including a t-shirt, water bottle and discounts to Up & Running stores; free off-site parking and shuttle transport to and from the race; VIP access to the Rightmove Race Village where you can find somewhere to rest as well as celebrate after the race; and regular support in the build up to the race from both the On the Move team and the team at Meningitis Now.
In return, all you have to do is pledge to raise £500 for us. Once you have signed up, the On the Move team will help you set up your JustGiving page and provide you with some great fundraising tips to get you started.
Rightmove’s association with Meningitis Now started after one of their staff members lost their son to the disease. Joshua Bates was just eight months old when he lost his fight against meningitis. His family were supported by us in the time after his death, which prompted Rightmove to adopt us as their charity of the year.
The company’s initial target was to raise £13,000 for us but they’ve already more than doubled this amount and have reached an incredible £26,176 through different fundraising events and activities.
