We have guaranteed places available for this unforgettable experience on Sunday 4 August, with discounted registration until the end of February.
Registration is currently just £22.50 each, with a fundraising pledge of £500. Those lucky enough to have secured a ballot place in the event are also welcome to join our #TeamTangerine.
By riding for us you’ll be fighting meningitis through supporting pioneering preventative research, raising lifesaving awareness and supporting people affected by this devastating disease.
You’ll also be joining 25,000 similar enthusiasts to cycle through a traffic-free London and the stunning Surrey countryside, including leg-testing climbs and the world-famous Box Hill zig-zags.
It’s an unforgettable experience and a fantastic day. And our support team is here to help you to get the most from it all, including providing a personalised technical cycling jersey and our exclusive post-race reception.
Team Joanna back for a second time
One team back for a second year is Team Joanna, comprising Wendy Yates, her husband Ian and friends Helen, Spencer and Amanda.
Wendy told us, “We are raising money for Meningitis Now in memory of my daughter Joanna Yates, who was cruelly struck down with bacterial meningitis in February 2017, aged 16 years."
“After Joanna passed away many of our family and friends raised money for Meningitis Now while we were grieving the loss of our beautiful daughter."
Felt so proud
“Over time we felt that we wanted to do something challenging in Joanna's memory and signed up for the Prudential bike ride. I remember on the day of the bike ride, after living with grief day in and day out, I felt so proud to be doing this in Joanna's memory. After months and months of sadness I remember feeling a sense of excitement at what we were about to do."
“I have participated in many bike rides. However, the friendliness and positivity of the riders and supporters on the ride was special and the approach to Buckingham Palace on completing the challenge was an extraordinary experience."
“After the ride we attended the Meningitis Now reception and met others who had participated. I had a heartfelt conversation with a gentleman who lost his daughter a number of years ago. We often talk about the loss of our daughter, but to talk to someone who knows exactly how you feel is a comfort in a way I cannot explain in words."
Signed up straight away
“As soon as we returned home we signed up for the following year and are looking forward to riding through the streets of London and the Surrey hills once more in Joanna's memory, raising money for Meningitis Now."
“Meningitis Now has supported us as a family, always showing compassion and understanding. We know they are always there if we need them. We have attended one of the Forever Days as a family, meeting other families who have lost loved ones."
“Meningitis Now is our voice in the fight against this devastating disease that cruelly took our daughter so quickly and with no warning.”
