Get your thinking caps on in the fight against meningitis

Andy Hopkinson | 25th November 2020

Everyone loves a good quiz, so it’s time to get your thinking caps on, put your knowledge to the test and take part in ours, to fight back against meningitis

Meningitis Now fundraising quiz

Our online quiz takes place this Thursday (26 November), meaning you can join in from the comfort of your own home.

Sign up to the virtual quiz and we’ll send you all the details you need, including your own exclusive invitation link via email, to join us anytime from 6.30pm, for a 7pm start.

It costs just £5 per household to enter and this includes one free entry into our raffle, with some fab prizes up for grabs. Additional raffle tickets are available on registering at £1 per ticket. And with rounds on music, television, film, history and more there’s bound to be something to make everybody shine and plenty to get those little grey cells whirring.

Ask the family

Leah Wynn, Meningitis Now’s Fundraising Officer, who’ll be in the chair asking the questions on the evening and keeping quizzers updated on their scores, said: “This promises to be a really enjoyable event. Quizzes have been really popular over the last few months and with lockdown now keeping us all indoors once again this is the perfect opportunity to hold one ourselves, have some fun and raise valuable funds to help in the fight against meningitis.

“Why not get your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues involved and see who comes out on top at the end of the evening?

“We’re really grateful to everyone who’ll be giving it a go, and of course to our round sponsors and those who have donated raffle prizes – thank you.”

Top raffle prizes

The raffle will be drawn on the night and prizes include a Hotel Chocolat Hamper, an Adlington Stuffed Turkey for eight people and a Caroline Gardner Gift Set.

Meningitis Now would also like to thank the organisations who have sponsored the quiz, including Boyes Turner, Identity Consult, Irwin Mitchell, B&A Group and Source Group International.

On a technical note, those taking part will have to have access to the free Microsoft Teams app; download it here. If you haven't used Teams before, we recommend you practise using it before the quiz to make sure you are familiar with it and to avoid any delays. If you don't have a Microsoft account, you can still join as a 'Guest'.

Our events team will be on hand if you have any difficulties accessing the quiz on the night. You can contact them on events@meningitisnow.org.
