We are looking for people to take part in an exciting new challenge and raise money for Meningitis Now
So, what is it exactly? Think fire walk and you’re on the right track - except this is no walk over hot coals; instead participants will walk over broken glass!
Despite how it sounds, we have been assured that this is completely safe and will be managed by UK Firewalk, who have hosted hundreds of these events. In fact, we’ve heard that stepping on Lego is more painful!
All participants will receive a training briefing before taking part, and if you have any worries or concerns on the day, safety staff will be available to answer your questions.
To sweeten the deal a little, you will enjoy a Prosecco afternoon tea before completing the walk, to help you relax and enjoy friendly conversation with like-minded people.
The event will be held at the Hilton, Newcastle, Gateshead, on Friday 13 July - don’t let the date put you off though, it just adds to the excitement!
After the event you will also have the opportunity to have your photo taken on the Northern Throne. So, forget the Angel of the North - you can be the Queen (or King) of the North, with your very own royal photoshoot.
This is a great chance to raise funds for Meningitis Now by doing something a little different and of course, everyone is welcome. Why not take the afternoon off and start your weekend with a delicious afternoon tea, Prosecco, and just a hint of danger...
You can buy your tickets here and if you have questions about fundraising, or would like to receive fundraising materials, please contact our Community Fundraiser Sarah Lockey by email at sarahl@meningitisnow.org, call her on 07864 763 025 or contact her through Facebook.
