Gloucester couple plan fun filled ball

Vix and Jay Hunter have been inspired to organise the charity ball and auction for us by the story of their friends’ daughter Elise

The couple is also taking on the London Marathon.

“Meningitis Now was a huge support to our friends Helen and Peter ” Vix said. “Their daughter Elise was diagnosed with pneumococcal meningitis at just 13 months old. She was so poorly that doctors couldn’t predict what the outcome would be. Thankfully she has made a full recovery but so many others don’t.”

If you fancy a fun night out and you’re in the Cheltenham area, the ball is being held in the Park Suite at DoubleTree by Hilton in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham on Saturday 18 November. Tickets cost £30 and include entertainment provided by Paul Martyn, the UK’s top party and wedding singer, and close-up sleight of hand magician Andi Gladwin.

Everyone buying a ticket will be automatically entered into a free prize raffle and auction lots include a hot air balloon flight.

“Please join us for this fun-filled charity ball,” Vix added. “Tickets are limited though so get in touch now to secure your places and help support this amazing charity.”

To book tickets contact the couple on vixandjay@gmail.com or call Vix on 07912 846564.

If you can’t get along but would still like to support their efforts you can sponsor Vix and Jay

Kirsty Owen-Hayward, Events Fundraiser at Meningitis Now, said: “Thank you so much to Vix and Jay for this fantastic event and taking on the London Marathon for us next year – we really appreciate your support.”
