Why not join us and the wonderful Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir for a special celebration concert this spring?
As part of the choir’s 50th anniversary Golden Jubilee Celebrations they’re holding one of their Four Seasons charity concerts in aid of our lifesaving and life-changing work.
It takes place at St Laurence Church, Stroud at 7pm on Friday 27 March and tickets are just £7.50 plus a booking fee.
Special guests on the evening include Bernadette John, the prize-winning British-French mezzo-soprano, and the cast of the musical Chicago.
The evening will be compered by Sabet Choudhury from BBC TV’s Points West.
Varied and interesting repertoire
The Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir love singing together and entertaining people with a varied and interesting repertoire, which includes modern pop songs, classic standards and lively show tunes, as well as the more traditional hymns and choral pieces that are usually associated with male voice choirs.
Apart from simply having fun singing, the reason the choir was set up was to help local charities and other good causes. In its first 50 years it has helped to raise over £750,000 and we’re delighted to be the beneficiaries of their generosity this spring.
Our Community Fundraising Manager Leah Wynn said, “We’re thrilled that the Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir has chosen to support us and we’re looking forward to an enjoyable and entertaining evening – please come along and join us if you can and be a part of the event.”.
“Every penny raised will go towards our work fighting back against the devastation of meningitis.”
