Looking for a day out next Monday? With the Bank Holiday approaching, and the weather warming up nicely, why not make a plan to pop along to central London, take in some sightseeing and cheer on our runners in the popular London 10K at the same time
The course on Monday 27 May takes in some of London’s most famous sights.
Starting on The Mall in St James’s Park it follows a route around the Cities of Westminster and London, including landmarks such as Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Bank of England, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
A number of our runners are taking on the event to prove to themselves that they’re getting the better of meningitis; runners like Nick, for example. Read Nick's story, or Jessie, read Jessie's story.
Whatever you’re doing I’m sure you’ll join with us in wishing everybody taking part for Team Tangerine the best of luck on the day and, like us, thank them for their efforts in raising disease awareness and funds to support our ongoing lifesaving and life-changing work.
Our event organiser Michaela Ifill said: “Whether this is their first race or hundredth, the sights and atmosphere of the London 10K make this event one to remember. Thank you to all our runners for everything you’re doing on our behalf and please join the events team and other supporters on the day if you can and cheer them on their way.”
