If you are aged 16 or over and have either had meningitis yourself, or a family member or close friend has, we would like to hear about your experience. Please take the time – about 20 minutes – to complete the questionnaire.
We’re looking for at least 1,000 responses and hope for many more than this – the more the better – to get a wide range of views and experiences. Your answers will make a really important contribution to our work, improve our understanding of your needs, wants and aspirations and help inform our priorities for support, research, awareness and campaigning.
We appreciate that this may prove a difficult and painful exercise for many of you, but we hope you will recognise its importance and take part. We’d be really grateful for your help.
Meningitis and Me is a needs analysis exercise being carried out for us by specialist consultants Alterline. They will also be carrying out some in-depth interviews on our behalf.
Collecting this quantitative and qualitative evidence will enable us to evaluate the awareness and the impact of our current support and, through that, to make improvements.
Work will continue on analysing and following up your responses throughout the summer, with the findings scheduled to be published in the autumn.
Clare Davis, our Director of Services, Research and Education, who is leading the exercise, said: “We’re very keen to engage supporters in this exercise and hear first-hand from you about your experiences and aspirations."
“As a charity it’s vital that we exist and succeed because we make a real difference to people’s lives – telling us how we can better do this will play a big part in shaping our future strategic direction.”
