Take on the Kiltwalk and fundraise for Meningitis Now

29th March 2017

Scotland is gearing up once again to host the annual Kiltwalk, where walkers are encouraged to wear their kilts and enjoy a trek through Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee or Edinburgh.

Kiltwalk

With three distances to choose from, there is a Kiltwalk for everyone and the whole family can get involved!

Walkers can choose from the six mile ‘Wee Wander’, the 15 mile ‘Big Stroll’, or tackle the ultimate ‘Mighty Stride’ and cover 23 miles!

Amanda Harris, Community Fundraiser for Meningitis Now said: “The Kiltwalk is a challenge, but also great fun!

“We would be thrilled for people to take part in the event and choose to support Meningitis Now. All money raised will go towards vital research and supporting those who have been affected by the disease. It really is a great day out, so why not get together with your friends and family and help to make a difference.”

Pit stops

There are pit stops along the way, which are a great opportunity for walkers to re-energise, and take that all important toilet break! Water, snacks, and hot food, will be provided, and some pit stops will also feature entertainment to keep you motivated during your day!

After the walk, you can enjoy an evening in the Kiltwalk village. A free meal, live music, drinks and dancing, (if your feet are up to it!) are all available. First aiders will also be on hand to tend to any bumps and blisters you may have picked up during the day.

Choose from the following Kiltwalks:

The Glasgow Kiltwalk 30th April 2017
The Aberdeen Kiltwalk 4th June 2017
Dundee Kiltwalk 20th August 2017
Edinburgh Kiltwalk 17th September 2017
