4th April 2017

RPC-BPI recycled products has raised a fantastic £950.50 for Meningitis Now!

The RPC-BPI group is one of the largest global producers of polythene film products, and the local branch in Stroud held events throughout 2016, fundraising for charity.

Employees conducted staff surveys, a Christmas jumper day and held a curry and quiz night.

Kathryn Akrout, site HR Manager at RPC-BPI Recycled Products said: “The team at Stroud has worked hard during 2016 to raise money for Meningitis Now."

“We liked the idea of helping a local charity, and the whole team got involved – although special thanks to Mrudula Gohil who donated and cooked the food for the curry and quiz night.”

Harry Gardner, Corporate Account Executive for Meningitis Now said: “We are really thrilled with the amount raised by RPC-BPI."

“The money donated will help go towards funding our lifesaving research, and support services for people affected by meningitis."

“When local businesses get involved to help the charity, it always feels really special – we can’t thank RPC-BPI enough for their support!”

The fundraising events were organised by RPC-BPI’s ‘Stroud events team’ consisting of; Mrudula Gohil, Julie Gardner, Kathryn Akrout, Niki Jenkins and Richard McCann, who co-ordinated the events and made sure everything went to plan.
