Meet our new corporate partner

29th June 2018

We’re thrilled that top legal firm Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP (ACS) has chosen to support us

Anthony Collins

The Birmingham-based firm came across us when working on the case of one of our Community Ambassadors. They liked our values and principles, which seemed a good match for their own, and selected us as a strategic partner.

One way they’ll be supporting us is by being mentors for young people on our innovative Believe & Achieve Programme.

Senior Associate Sarah Huntbach and others within the team also have plans to tackle our Five Valleys Walk and are very much looking forward to getting involved with student awareness and supporting our other awareness campaigns.

Sarah, who handles personal injury and clinical negligence claims at ACS, said, “We’re a values-based firm helping to improve the lives of individuals and communities. We work with our clients to ensure they receive fair compensation to enable them to live their life to the best of their abilities following unavoidable injury, whether from an accident or clinical negligence. The compensation they receive takes away the stress of paying for any adaptions to their home, future medical treatment or therapy, and any care needs."

“The practice is not connected to any insurance organisation and does not advertise for clients on television. We prefer to build our reputation through working with partners who share our values and approach, such as Meningitis Now.”

The practice was established in 1973 by Anthony Collins, initially to serve individuals and the community. The practice has expanded and now works across the charity, housing, health and social care, local government, education and social business sectors.

A long journey

“Most of these people will be with us for a long journey, quite possibly years,” Sarah said, “and we support them throughout the process."

“Our support isn’t just legal; we offer holistic support and have an ex-nurse and an ex-social worker on the team to help with this. We recognise how difficult and emotionally draining pursuing a claim can be, and we take as much of the stress out of the process as possible. It’s important for us to make the process clear and easy to understand, so that our clients know their options."

Invaluable support

Meningitis Now's Corporate Account Executive Harry Gardner, who looks after the charity’s valued corporate supporters, said, “We are so excited that Anthony Collins Solicitors has chosen to support us."

“This will be invaluable and help us to continue our work raising awareness of meningitis and supporting families and individuals who have been affected by this terrible disease."

“We look forward to working closely with them this year through our Believe & Achieve Programme and to welcoming them to the Five Valleys Walk.”
