Registration is open for our next popular and fun-filled Believe and Achieve Weekend – but hurry, places go fast
We’re excited to announce the return of the action-packed event, which will be held at PGL Osmington Bay, Weymouth, Dorset, on Saturday and Sunday 8-9 October 2016.
This adrenaline-fuelled weekend is open to young people, aged 11 to 18, who have had meningitis or meningococcal disease, and gives them the opportunity to try challenging activities while getting to know others affected.
Susette Worgan-Brown, our Project Co-ordinator, said: “These weekends are always very popular and spaces fill up fast."
Great opportunity
“It’s a great opportunity for young people who may have been held back by this debilitating disease and its after-effects to get out and about, meet new people and get stuck in to some new, exciting challenges.”
“It also gives them a chance to interact with others who have been through a similar experience, highlighting that they are not alone and helping to understand the impact of meningitis.”
The weekend is generously funded by Children in Need and is offered free to young people affected by meningitis. Refreshments, meals and Saturday night accommodation are provided.
All activities will be led by qualified PGL staff and may include high ropes challenges, canoeing, trapeze and zip wires.
