Page Kirk's Charity of the Year

19th April 2018

The independent firm of chartered accountants and chartered tax advisers, based in Nottingham, said they wanted to support a charity that their team would be passionate about

Page Kirk

Rebekah Gough, Marketing Co-ordinator at Page Kirk, said, “Meningitis Now is an amazing charity to support. When seeing the stories and hearing how individuals and families have been affected by meningitis, and all the support the charity is able to give, we knew we wanted to help.”

This will be the first time that Page Kirk have chosen their own charity to support, after previously teaming up with other companies for charitable work.

The team have lots of events and activities planned throughout the year to raise vital funds for Meningitis Now, starting with a ‘charity day’ on the last Friday of each month. These days consist of dressing down, cake sales and games – all in return for donations from staff. There are also plans for themed days, including a summer market, Halloween and Christmas.

In addition to these regular fundraising days, the team at Page Kirk will also be hosting other events to raise vital funds for Meningitis Now, including a cinema night and summer fair. A charity committee is being created, where members will be arranging a larger sponsored activity for everyone to join in together, push themselves and complete a challenge for a worthy cause.

John Wallis, Senior Partner at Page Kirk LLP, said, "I’m extremely proud that we have chosen Meningitis Now to be Page Kirk’s charity of the year. They do remarkable work to save lives, rebuild futures, fund research, raise awareness and provide support to individuals and families affected by meningitis.”

“Meningitis is still affecting individuals and families across the UK and the impact of the disease is devastating. We hope our support throughout 2018 will not only help towards raising money, but also raise vital awareness of the disease.”

“Page Kirk will aim to push ourselves, work as a team and pull together to do everything we can to support Meningitis Now.”

Harry Gardner, Corporate Account Executive at Meningitis Now, said, “We are so grateful to Page Kirk for choosing us as their charity of the year, and are excited about all the fundraising they have planned.”

“As a charity, we rely solely on donations, therefore the support from Page Kirk is vital for us to continue our life-saving work. Thank you!”
