There are still a few places available for the event, which takes place at Bosworth Hall Hotel and Spa in Leicestershire from Friday 12 to Saturday 13 November.
Our Support Officer Chris Mather, who is organising the event, said: “This Forever Weekend follows on from the first extremely successful event we held in 2019. Now that the Covid-19 restrictions are lifting we’re glad to be able to get together in person again rather than via a computer screen.
“We still have a few places available for this adult-only Forever Weekend and in particular are keen to hear from people who are new to our support services or have not attended an event before.
“We would also like to reach out to those who have lost a sister or brother or a partner, wife or husband, as well as those who have lost children.”
Chris added: “Whether your loss happened recently or some time ago this event will give you the opportunity to talk about your loved one and have time away in safe and supportive surroundings.
“You’ll be able to share experiences with others who understand, find comfort, hope and reassurance that you are not alone and learn more about the support that Meningitis Now can offer to those who have suffered a bereavement.
Relax and reflect
“Over the two days you can join in the suggested programme of discussion groups and activities, but also take time to relax in the beautiful Grade II listed building and extensive gardens and reflect with others who understand.”
Accommodation, full board and attendance to all the sessions and spa facilities are included free of charge, thanks to generous support from the National Lottery Community Fund.
