The popular event, now in its 39th year, is supporting us this year.
Proceeds from the sale of tankards, expected to run into thousands, will be donated towards our lifesaving and life-changing work.
We’ll also have an awareness stand at the event to hand out our signs and symptoms cards and counter the myth that meningitis only affects babies and young children.
Tracey Lee, our Community Fundraising Manager, said, “We’re really excited to have been selected as the nominated charity at this fantastic event and are looking forward to an enjoyable and rewarding couple of days – cheers, Frocester Beer Festival!"
Why not join us?
“If any of our local volunteers would like to join us to make the most of this wonderful opportunity please get in touch.”
Tickets and tankards for this year’s festival, which attracts about 4,000 visitors annually, are now on sale on the website at www.frocesterbeerfestival.com
It takes place on Friday 24 August (2pm to 11pm) and Saturday 25 August (11am to 11pm) at Frocester Cricket Club and offers over 150 different beers and ciders, plus a range of food and music. Free onsite overnight camping is also available.
Kate Da-Costa-Greaves, of the festival’s organising committee, said, “We’re looking forward to an entertaining festival this year; with something for everyone to enjoy."
Makes such a difference
“We’re delighted that we’ll be joined by Meningitis Now, whose vital work makes such a difference to so many not just in Gloucestershire but across the UK.”
Tracey Lee added, “We’ll also take the opportunity to promote our Five Valleys Walk, which this year takes place on Sunday 30 September."
“Put the date in your diary - it could be the perfect remedy for anyone who overindulges at the festival!”
