We’re looking for new Trustees and a Chair of Trustees to help ensure that Meningitis Now has good governance and to help steer us over the coming years. It’s a great opportunity to become involved in our wonderful charity.
Dr Tom Nutt, CEO, said: “Trustees play a critical role in the governance and strategic direction of Meningitis Now. With a focus on our strategy, operational plans and budgets, they help ensure that the charity makes the right decisions in the interests of the people we are here to serve.
“Trustees also help by sharing their personal and professional skills or experience – they can be a great sounding board for me and my colleagues on the staff team.
Not all boring meetings
“And, of course, Trustees can get involved by representing the charity at events and in other activities – it’s not all boring meetings!”
Andy Fletcher, current Chair of Trustees, added: “If you join us, you will join a group of committed and collegiate Trustees. Drawn from a range of backgrounds, they provide strategic direction and good governance to Meningitis Now.
“You will also join a wonderful community of supporters, Ambassadors, Volunteers and Patrons – a community we like to think of as the ‘Meningitis Now family’.
Wonderful and impactful charity
“I am stepping down after seven fulfilling and productive years as a Trustee, including three years as Chair. Meningitis Now is a wonderful and impactful charity. I have no doubt that you will find your time with Meningitis Now both enjoyable and worthwhile.”
