Sign of the times

16th February 2019

The writing's on the wall for our Head Office in Stroud – which has a resplendent new sign thanks to the generous donation of time and equipment from Gloucestershire tool and plant hire company Ermin Plant

“We changed our name from the Meningitis Trust to Meningitis Now a few years ago when we merged with another charity,” said Mark Hunt, the charity’s Marketing and Communications Director, “but the difficulty of reaching this sign high on the wall and other pressing commitments mean we’ve only now got round to replacing this."

“Hopefully it will help people not only to locate our offices but also spread awareness of meningitis and the work of the charity."

“We’re really grateful to Ermin Plant for kindly supplying the kit needed free of charge; saving us in hire and delivery costs."

“As a charity that receives no Government funding we rely on the generosity of our corporate and individual supporters. The money that we would have spent on this can now be directed to our lifesaving and life-changing research, awareness and support work.”

Mark Davis, of Ermin Plant, said, “Many of us at Ermin Plant know people who have been affected by meningitis, either directly or through a friend or relative, so we’re delighted to be able to give something back and help out our local charity in this way."

“Meningitis Now does such good work throughout the county and further afield and it feels really good to get involved in the fight back against this devastating disease.”

Ermin Plant has been operating from six branches across Gloucestershire and Worcestershire for over 50 years and prides itself on its advice and service. It offers a complete range of hire equipment for small DIY jobs and large construction projects. For more information visit the website at www.erminplant.co.uk.
