Gloucestershire based firm WSP solicitors have announced that they have chosen Meningitis Now as their partner charity this year!
With a long history spanning over two centuries, WSP solicitors was founded in 1758 and can boast royalty as clients, having acted on behalf of Queen Caroline when George IV tried to divorce her!
Amber Deacon, Marketing manager at WSP Solicitors said: “We are firm believers in supporting local charities, and choose a different charity each year."
“All employees were asked to nominate local charities, and the three most popular were put to the vote - Meningitis Now came out as the top choice.”
The firm plan to raise money through cake sales, sports events, and quiz nights. WSP Solicitors are also headline sponsors of the Stroud Life Awards, and therefore get to nominate the charity that benefits from monies raised at the awards on 29 June.
Harry Gardner, Corporate Account Executive at Meningitis Now said: “We are so delighted to hear WSP have chosen to support us for the coming year!"
"Support from local businesses is really important to us and forging good relationships is vital to helping the charity to raise awareness of meningitis."
"We would like to encourage local people to join in the fundraising events held by WSP – after all, raising money for charity is a good excuse to eat cake!"
WSP Solicitors will be fundraising for Meningitis Now all year. Find out about what events they are holding by visiting their website: www.wspsolicitors.com/about-us/news-and-events/ or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
