Tell meningitis to jog on

6th July 2018

Have you heard of our new virtual event?

Jog On Meningitis

Jog on Meningitis, which launched at the beginning of July, is a simple concept that anyone can get involved with. All you need to do is pledge to run, jog or walk 50km over 50 days and raise £50, at your own pace and in your own way. It’s that simple.

You can complete your virtual run in segments that suit you. Only have time for a quick 1km jog today? No problem. Did you smash a 10km personal best? Excellent!

You can clock up those kilometres wherever you fancy too; around your housing estate, on a treadmill, or even with a group of running or hiking buddies. We even know of people who are swimming the distance.

Lace up those trainers

Our Community Fundraiser, Carrie Bater, said, “The important bit is that every penny you raise will help us to save lives and rebuild futures. What better reason do you need to lace up those trainers and tell meningitis to jog on?"

“For example, raising £50 could enable us to pay for an hour of professional counselling to help someone move on with their life after meningitis.”

Complete your 50km across 50 days and raise £50 for us and, to say thank you, we'll send you your very own shiny medal, which you can wear with pride knowing you've helped to make a difference in the fight against meningitis.
