Take on the Tough Mudder challenge in Scotland for Meningitis Now

4th June 2015

Fight your fears and take on one of Scotland’s fiercest challenges, Tough Mudder for Meningitis Now

Tough Mudder

A fairytale castle as your pictureque background and lung-busting hills, ice cold lochs and strength-sapping mud to test you to the limits, this once in a lifetime challenge, is not to be missed.

With the choice of two dates (20 and 21 June) you can sign up to this ‘experience’ you’re not likely to forget in a hurry for just £125.

Kerry Grant, from Fife, has signed up to the event and says: “My best friend Shona lost her mother to meningitis and both her son and my son suffered from meningitis when they were babies. Thankfully both boys recovered and had no lasting effects. I want to help raise money for a great cause. I see the pain my friend suffers every day, having lost her mum, Sandra. My fundraising is for them and everyone else affected by this terrible illness.”

Jo Wilson, Meningitis Now Scotland Fundraiser, says: "At Meningitis Now we’re working towards the day when no-one dies from meningitis and those who survive get the support they need to rebuild their lives. Please join our team and help us to achieve this by supporting us at Tough Mudder next month - we'd love it if you did."

Once signed up we are asking you to raise as much money as possible for the charity, so that we can continue work of funding preventative research, raising awareness and providing support to those touched by the dreaded disease.
