Ways you can volunteer

We’re not a big charity, but we have big goals. Our amazing volunteers mean we can reach them. Wherever you are in the UK, you can help us

Volunteers
How you help

Because of you we are:

  • Louder with our awareness messages
  • Reaching more people who need us
  • Making change happen
  • Funding more research
  • And above all, closer to making our goal of beating meningitis a reality

Ways you can help

  • Raise awareness

Awareness saves lives. You could spread lifesaving awareness in your local area by distributing literature, running an awareness stand, giving a talk about your experiences and/or the facts about meningitis (full training given), or being a student volunteer in your college or university.

  • Administrative support

Whether you are able to come into our Head Office in Stroud, Gloucestershire, or would rather do virtual volunteering from the comfort of your own home, we’d love to hear from you

  • Help us raise funds

We are always looking for people to support our fundraising events in lots of different ways. Attending cheque presentations, being a street collector, or a supermarket bag packer, or a collection tin co-ordinator to name a few, so get in touch and be part of something really fun.

  • Event support

We’d love you to represent us at an event near you, or at a national event. You can help at pre and/or post-race receptions, or by cheering the competitors on – making our events memorable for everyone involved. If you can’t go along to the event, you could help us to promote it by displaying banners or posters.

“I volunteer in many ways; distributing literature, attending awareness fairs, promoting and assisting with Toddle waddle events, London marathon and more. Volunteering is my therapy. I gain so much from it and I always try to be there when I am needed.” Mary Garley
