Adopt a Campus and Help us Raise Student Awareness (August - October)

Do you attend or work at a university? Or do you live near a university? If so, we need your help. We are looking for people to 'adopt' a campus and help us spread our 3 key messages:

  • Get vaccinated
  • Know the signs and symptoms of meningitis
  • Look out for your mates

This could involve holding an awareness stand, meeting students and talking to them about the vaccine, handing out signs and symptoms cards and putting up posters.

To adopt a campus, choose from our university list.

Health Awareness in your local area

Help us to make sure that health professionals are Meningitis Aware. Can you identify five health locations such as GP Surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals or clinics that you can take in our meningitis pack? This will help us to ensure that health professionals are aware of the signs and symptoms of meningitis when dealing with patients, clients and customers. Register your interest today and get started making your health professionals meningitis aware.

School and Nursery Awareness in your local area

Help us to make sure that teachers, child minders, play group staff and nursery staff are Meningitis Aware. Can you identify five locations such as primary, junior or secondary schools, child minders, play groups and children nurseries that you can take in our meningitis pack? This will ensure that the people, who spend their day looking after children, are aware of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and can pass that information onto their parents. Email us to find out more.

Student awareness volunteer recruitment 2017

Help raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis with your local universities and colleges, and promote the uptake of vaccines. We recruit in early summer for peak activity at freshers’ events in September and October, and you can continue to raise awareness throughout the year.
