With a social media audience of circa 100k followers and extensive engagement via other digital platforms, digital communications play a critical and growing role in the work that this successful and life saving charity does.
Our vision is simple – a future where no-one in the UK loses their lives to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives. To take us a step closer to achieving that vision, Meningitis Now are recruiting for an (initially) interim Social Media and Digital Content Editor.
Working as part of a highly skilled communications team, the successful candidate will enjoy a wide and varied career experience that will include working on breaking news, covering live events and representing the stories and experiences of those impacted by meningitis.
Through effective use of our social media and digital channels you will help raise vital awareness of meningitis, develop brand awareness and support our fundraising efforts, whilst generating inbound traffic and increasing the reach of the charity online.
Founders of the meningitis movement over 30 years ago, Meningitis Now has made a real difference in the fight against meningitis in the UK, but there is so much more to do.
To join this dynamic charity you will need to have demonstrable skills in the creation and adaptation of compelling content. This may consist of text, visual, video, audio and graphic adaptations, but must comprise creativity and an attention to detail; which means you will be an experienced digital media operator.
