The year you joined the charity
A brief overview of your role - what are you responsible for?
As Believe & Achieve is ever-growing, the team needed another pair of hands - which is where I come in! Alongside Laura, I support Becky, our Programme Lead, to bring you all the amazing services and events of Believe & Achieve.
Your favourite part of your role
I have always had a very caring nature and, having learnt more about Meningitis Now and having seen all of the inspirational stories available on the website I knew I wanted to be involved with the work here and try and improve the lives of people who had been affected.
Your biggest achievements
My background involves working within the areas of administration, event work and a bit of marketing. Previously to this role I was working with young people in a vibrant art department at a local FE college and before that I worked in a busy entertainment venue.
I studied Drama and Performance at the University of Portsmouth, which involved performing, directing and vocal coaching and I did a lot of community work with schools, retirement homes and local companies.
A fun fact about yourself
As a very creative person, my hobbies include cooking, baking, needle felting and singing. I also love to walk in the countryside (especially with the family labradors!).
