The naked truth

6th December 2017

The University of Bristol’s ‘Raising and Giving’ charity (RAG), are supporting Meningitis Now by releasing a naked calendar!

Naked truth

The student-run society supports charities and good causes, with money raised this year being split between three charities; the Trauma Recovery Centre, Jacari Bristol and Meningitis Now.

Over 70 applications were received from charities vying to be Bristol University’s RAG partner, with the successful three being chosen and voted for by students.

This year students are following in the (unclothed) footsteps of the Women’s Institute, by raising funds with a naked calendar.

The calendar includes naked contributions from a range of societies including; gardening, a capella, big band and sports teams – with only the most interesting and funny ideas making the final cut.

A member of the gardening society said:

“We were so hyped to be involved in this project. Come on, when are you ever going to have another opportunity to run around the University’s Botanic Garden butt-naked?”

She added: “There was lots of body positivity and it was great to share the experience with others and see people so comfortable in their own skin. Apart from one person who took a cactus spine to the nipple, everyone came out of it feeling really liberated!”

The calendar has taken just over a month to create, and is available now to pre-order at a reduced cost, with general sale commencing soon at a cost of £8 per calendar, or two for £14.

With the festive season upon us, why not surprise someone with this naughty but nice calendar, and support good causes at the same time?

Support Meningitis Now and buy your calendar.
