Coaching

When you think about a coach you might imagine someone involved in sports - motivating their players, helping them consider what goals they might want to achieve, what might be holding them back and supporting them to achieve their best

That’s what coaching with Believe & Achieve is too. But instead of sports we’re talking about support to help you in education, work or life.

If you have a goal that you want to achieve over a short space of time, then you could benefit from having a coach to motivate and help you to consider the different ways to achieve it.

Coaching isn't the same as mentoring or counselling. A coach will empower you to decide what you want to do and work out how you can get there.

Some of our Believers & Achievers have found a coach helpful for techniques to help with their memory problems, confidence, concentration, the unpredictability of life, stress or interviews.

We will pay for 18-25 year-olds to have up to six sessions with a professional coach, and you'll be able to have a short chat with them on the phone before you start to make sure it's something you want to do. We will also consider those aged 16 and 17, but will need to discuss this with you further.

The coaching sessions have helped me to learn not to be so hard on myself, to take risks, be more open, and that it's okay if I can't always think of the right word or get muddled up!
