Noa-Rose was three when she contracted MenB and was critically ill before thankfully making a recovery.
Three years on, Noa-Rose and her mum Emma have been on an incredible fundraising journey for Meningitis Now. Emma tells us more here:
“We are incredibly proud of Noa-Rose. A friend nominated her for the Young Hero Award in recognition of her bravery in sharing her meningitis story across media platforms, as well as for her Pen y Fan fundraiser and the previous events she has helped me organise.
“Her nomination is entirely rooted in her journey with meningitis and her commitment to raising funds and awareness for Meningitis Now.
Noa-Rose is set for a busy summer of fundraising:
“She will be joining South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for a charity car wash to raise further funds for Meningitis Now.

“She has also supported me in handing out signs & symptoms cards at our local town fayre in April, and we will be giving out more at our boot sale stall.
“In addition, she helped me organise a children’s Halloween party in 2024, where we raised £231, an Elves’ Breakfast which raised £250, and my husband’s Mont Blanc fundraiser completed on her behalf, which raised £2,419.27.
“It's been a complete pleasure and privilege for us to do this to give back to Meningitis Now for all the care, support and understanding they have shown to us.
Young Hero Award
“We heard she was shortlisted for the Young Hero Award by a shout out on BBC Wales Radio. We’ve been invited to the awards ceremony in September, where the winner will be announced.
“Regardless of the announcement, we are so very proud of Noa-Rose and she will always be a winner in our eyes.”
