Join us for our Five Valleys Walk this September

4th June 2025

Have you got the date in your diary for the Five Valleys Walk?

Five Valleys

“We’d love you to join us for the Five Valleys Walk this year. It’s our 38th walk and we want to make this our biggest and best year yet.”

Our flagship Five Valleys Walk through the beautiful Cotswold countryside takes place on Sunday 28 September this year and we’d love as many of you as possible to join us on the day.

Our Fundraising Officer, Kyra McDonnell, who’s organising this year’s walk, said: “We’d love you to join us for the Five Valleys Walk this year. It’s our 38th walk and we want to make this our biggest and best year yet. Last year’s walk raised a fabulous £52,000 for our lifesaving and life-changing work – this year, with your help, we’re hoping for £55,000.

“By joining us for the walk you’ll be helping us move ever closer to our ambitious target of beating meningitis in the UK within a generation.

Special place in our hearts

“The Five Valleys Walk holds a special place in our hearts and offers a fabulous day of walking, entertainment and local food for all the family – please join us if you can.”

As always, the beauty of the walk is that those taking part don’t have to complete the full 21-mile circuit, which can be a tough challenge. Instead, you can choose a distance between any of eight checkpoints, covering anything from 1.5 miles to the full 21. And then get a free bus back to your starting point when you’ve had enough.

“Every step you take will help raise vital awareness and funds for research and support that will make a real difference to those who are at risk from meningitis and those whose lives have already been changed forever because of it,” Kyra added.

Great day out

“The Five Valleys Walk is a great day out in the countryside and really does help Meningitis Now move closer to its vision, where no one dies from meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need.

“We estimate across the UK 22 people a day get meningitis. That’s why this year we're asking every Five Valleys walker to raise a minimum of £22 in sponsorship, or to donate £22, so that we can ensure everyone affected receives the support they need.”

Early Bird tickets are already available on our website and open until the evening before the walk.
