17th June 2025

Join us for the Meningitis Now Midsummer Party 2025

Midsummer party blog frame

We are delighted to invite you to join us next month for Meningitis Now’s Midsummer Party at Mall Galleries in London and a private viewing of the annual exhibition of the Society of Women Artists.

Last year’s party and exhibition at the galleries proved so popular that we’re doing it all again this year. So, get the date in your diary – it all happens on Thursday 26 June between 6 and 8pm and tickets, costing just £25, are available here.

It’s an evening for everyone, not just the art lovers amongst us. As well as hearing from people living with the impact of meningitis, there will also be the opportunity to win donated works of art through a raffle (tickets also available to those who can’t make it on the evening), purchase one-off pieces and show your support for our ongoing work fighting back against meningitis.

Full party programme – and private viewing

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a party without drinks and nibbles– all included in the evening’s programme whilst enjoying a private viewing of more than 450 exceptional works of art.

The Society of Women Artists (SWA) is a British art body and registered charity that has had a unique history dedicated to promoting art created by women. It was founded as the Society of Female Artists (SFA) in 1855. Read more here.

This year will see their 164th Annual Open Exhibition and they are presenting a stunning collection of works from some of the finest women artists working today in the UK and beyond, including oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings, lithographs, screen prints, sculpture, ceramics, portraiture and landscapes. There’ll be a balance of large and small pieces, from the abstract and figurative, to the traditional and quirky.

Donating to our work

The SWA will be donating 20 per cent of the sales proceeds of any exhibition pieces purchased by our supporters, both on the night and through their online catalogue, towards our ongoing work – just add the code ‘MN20’ after your surname when making your online purchase.

There will also be the opportunity on the night to make a donation in exchange for their gorgeous playing cards.

Mall Galleries is the home of the Federation of British Artists (FBA), a visual arts charity founded in 1961 and made up of nine leading art societies. Annually their exhibitions empower artists with more than £100,000 worth of prizes and awards to reward and encourage talent.

Grateful for generosity

Our Partnerships Manager Sarah Ramsay said: “We are extremely grateful to the Mall Galleries and the Society of Women Artists for their generosity in providing Meningitis Now with the opportunity to host this wonderful event again. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of supporters on the evening.”

So, pop the location, date and time in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there. And if you can’t make it on the night, don’t forget you can still buy raffle tickets to win wonderful original art - raffle tickets will be available a couple of weeks before the event, so please keep an eye on our website.
