IQVIA are currently looking for individuals with a history of invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) and their caregivers to take part in the study.

The research, funded by a leading pharmaceutical company, will provide insights into the burden experienced by survivors of IMD and their caregivers in the UK, including costs and quality of life during and after disease diagnosis.

Improve knowledge

The results of the study are intended to b published to improve knowledge about the long-term burden of survivors and their caregivers experience.

Rhoannan Hartley-Downer, project manager for the UK, said: “Your participation will contribute to better understanding of the impact of IMD among survivors and their caregivers in the UK.

“Participation in the study will involve a screener and confirmation of diagnosis to confirm your eligibility, followed by a brief online survey and then a 60-minute telephone interview answering questions about your experience or your personal experience of caring for someone who has had IMD.

Strictly research purposes

“The interview will be scheduled at a time that suits you and those taking part will be offered a total honorarium of £170 in appreciation for your time and insight.”

The study is strictly for research purposes and there will be no sales or promotional activities. It is hoped the results will be published to improve knowledge and better understanding about the long-term burden of survivors and their caregivers’ experience.
