100k My Way blog frame

Our latest Facebook Challenge kicks off in July and we’d love you to join us.

We’re asking those who do to cover 100km your way during the month to help us raise funds to fight meningitis. Your contribution will help to ensure families across the UK receive the support they need to rebuild their lives following meningitis and fund lifesaving research into the prevention and treatment of the disease.

How you go about your 100km is entirely up to you. You can ride a bike, paddle a canoe, jump on a horse, swim, jog or simply walk. However you do it, you’ll be making a big difference to those at risk of meningitis and those fighting back from the impact of the disease.

Getting outdoors and getting moving

And you’ll be getting outdoors, getting moving and getting fit into the bargain, making the most of the great British summer.

The challenge starts on Tuesday 1 July and you have the whole month to complete your distance.

And, if you needed any further incentive, if you raise £10 we’ll send you a free Meningitis Now tote bag and tracker. Raise £150 and you’ll be sent your very own 100k My Way medal

Reach as many as possible

Our Fundraising Officer Maizie Gardiner said: “Meningitis can strike anyone, at any time and we estimate that 8,000 lives are affected by this disease every year. It remains vitally important that we are able to reach as many people as possible with our work – work that is made possible through you taking part in activities like this and your generous fundraising.

“We hope that all participants will feel inspired to raise funds that will allow us to support everyone who has experience of meningitis, and to work towards making meningitis a thing of the past.

“Everyone taking part will be encouraged and supported via a Facebook event group and will be able to share their progress via their Facebook fundraising page – it’s a brilliant way to raise awareness of our work amongst your friends and family.

“Good luck to everybody taking part, and thank you for your support!”
