Irwin Mitchell

Irwin Mitchell is the 25th largest law firm in the UK. With an international presence, they operate from 17 offices across the UK and currently employ over 2,500 members of staff. In their 100-year history, they have helped over 1 million clients.

Irwin Mitchell has been a fantastic and loyal supporter of our work since 1998. Through our Brighter Futures Partnership, they have supported us with donations totalling over £81,000. In addition to their wonderful donations, they have delivered free training, provided free office space for events, donated raffle prizes and have supported fundraising initiatives such as Meningitis Now’s Brew and Bake.  More recently, the team took part in our ‘8k a Day in January’ challenge, to raise vital funds and awareness of meningitis.

They have also been a vital source of support for families in need of legal advice following their traumatic meningitis experiences. Read more about how Irwin Mitchell have helped David and Tracey following the death of their daughter Annie and hear more on how they supported Abigail and her family in their podcast here.

Medical negligence solicitors, including Anita Jewitt who features below, have helped people of all ages who have suffered from many different kinds of meningitis misdiagnosis. Learn more about meningitis compensation claims here.

Anita trained with Irwin Mitchell and qualified as a solicitor in March 2008. She was promoted to the position of Associate in November 2011 and became a partner in May 2015. She is based in Irwin Mitchell’s London office and has a wealth of experience in complex clinical negligence cases, both on behalf of adults and children.
