Renishaw

Renishaw is one of the world's leading engineering and scientific technology companies, with expertise in precision measurement and healthcare.

Whilst they operate globally, their base is still firmly rooted in Gloucestershire, where the company began.

Renishaw currently has 77 offices in 36 countries, with over 5,000 employees worldwide. The majority of the company's R&D and manufacturing is carried out in the UK, with the company's largest markets being China, USA, Germany and Japan.

Renishaw are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and Meningitis Now are honoured to have received their long-term support over several decades during this time.

Most prominently, Renishaw have been dedicated sponsors of our Five Valleys Walk since 2006, with donations made towards our life saving activities, totalling more than £16,000.

Supporting local communities remains core to Renishaw’s ethos and Meningitis Now is grateful to have benefited from this giving spirit, as well as their support for campaigns, such as our Beat it Now campaign.

Our CEO, Tom Nutt says:

“The team supported our Beat It Now campaign to get the Men B vaccination onto the national childhood vaccination programme, which we were successful in 2015. We can’t thank Renishaw enough for their continued and engaged support.”

We are proud of our partnership with Renishaw and look forward to this relationship continuing to develop as we continue in our fight against meningitis.

Their brilliant team at New Mills, Wotton Under Edge, will be taking on the challenge of our Five Valley’s Walk for a second year running this year and we very much look forward to supporting them in their fundraising.

As the largest private sector employer in Gloucestershire, Renishaw is a strong supporter of community organisations and local charities. We and our staff are well aware of the excellent work of Meningitis Now and we have been a long-term supporter of its activities, both with grants through our Charities Committee, and as a sponsor of the Five Valleys Walk.” - Chris Pockett, Head of Communications, Renishaw plc
