Our annual Ribbon Appeal offers bereaved families, and all those who have experienced meningitis, a moment to remember loved ones by including a white ribbon on the remembrance tree at our Gloucester Cathedral Christmas concert.
Will you help us support families this Christmas to face a future after meningitis with hope and confidence?
Jess’s story
Jessica Vickery’s husband Josh died of pneumococcal meningitis in 2021. Josh was a fit and healthy 40-year-old and dad to their three small children. Losing Josh to meningitis was not something that had ever crossed Jess’s mind. Before his death, Jess and Josh often discussed the adventures they’d go on together. Sadly, for Jess and the children, they will now have to make those memories without Josh.
How to make your Christmas tribute:
- Dedicate a ribbon for our tree in memory of a loved one, or in support of those affected by meningitis. Please dedicate your ribbon by November 22 at the latest.
