You can really hear the relief in someone's voice when we discuss the ways Meningitis Now can support them
A brief overview of your role - what are you responsible for?
I manage our nurse-led helpline, answering questions about disease, vaccines, after-effects and provide a listening ear for anyone requiring support. I also make referrals to our Support team for anyone requiring ongoing support.
I oversee all of our disease information, ensuring this is current and accurate. This includes website information as well as leaflets and signs and symptoms cards as well as ensuring staff are trained and have the knowledge they require for their role.
Your favourite part of your role
Being the first point of contact for someone who has been struggling with the impact of meningitis or meningococcal septicaemia. Sometimes you can really hear the relief in someone’s voice when we discuss the ways Meningitis Now can support them.
A fun fact about yourself
I enjoy weekends away in Tinkerbell, our tiny pop-up caravan.
