Meningitis Now Believe & Achieve B&A - Business Skills Mentor - Sue Davie

Sue Davie

- Believe and Achieve Mentor

Next Step Mentor

I’m a qualified management accountant and MBA (Master of Business Administration). I worked for Fujitsu for 10 years after completing my BA (Hons) Business Studies.

During my career, I’ve worked in new business development, as a financial controller and, for two years, lived in California where I managed an acquisition ahead of its flotation on the UK and US stock markets.

This isn’t your first time supporting people who’ve been impacted by meningitis

In 2002, I joined The Meningitis Trust. I later became CEO in 2007 and led the merger with Meningitis UK to form Meningitis Now. Leading the campaign to get the MenB vaccine introduced for all newborns was one of the achievements I’m most proud of, together with introducing the Young Ambassador Programme.

How do you spend your spare time now?

I now work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, assessing fitness to practice, and continue to support a number of charities with their development. I enjoy spending time with friends and my godchildren, as well as walking and going to the cinema. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting people in their development and I’m delighted to have been asked to be a Believe & Achieve Next Step Mentor.
