Alison is Partner Ambassador for Inclusion at Irwin Mitchell, former London Managing Partner and Head of the London Medical Negligence team. For many years, she acted for adults and children who suffered severe injury as a result of clinical negligence. Alison is also a trustee of Group B Strep Support. 

In 2024, she was awarded the Legal 500 ESG Lifetime Achievement Award - Women in Law, which recognised her commitment to improving gender equality in the legal profession. Most recently, she won the Diversity & Inclusion Award at the 2025 Modern Law Awards. 

Irwin Mitchell are long-term supporters of Meningitis Now (dating back to 1998) and have supported our Free Wills initiative to encourage more people to leave a gift to Meningitis Now in their will. They are also a Brighter Futures Partner.
