Alison is a GP by profession and Primary Care clinical lead at Health Innovation West of England. She has a special interest in sepsis and also the prompt identification and management of the deteriorating patient in community settings and was appointed NHSE Regional Clinical Lead for COVID. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians Acute Deterioration Board.

Another of Alison’s priorities is improving the lives of people with a learning disability; she leads the South West Learning Disability Collaborative and co-chairs the RCGP Learning Disability Special Interest Group. Alison is a Trustee of the Brandon Trust which provides care for people with a learning disability.
