Gaynor Simpson is an experienced public relations professional, having worked with a wide range of clients during a career spanning almost 30 years. Based in Glasgow, she is the founder of Purpose PR and specialises in delivering strategic and creative public communications campaigns for purpose-driven businesses and organisations.
Her older son Ross contracted meningococcal bacterial meningitis in 2023 during his first year at university. He was critically unwell and spent 10 days in the ICU at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, before returning home to start his journey to recovery.
Gaynor became an Ambassador for Meningitis Now following Ross’ illness, in recognition of the support and advice she received from the charity. She regularly fundraises for Meningitis Now and advocates for access to the Meningitis B vaccine for everyone who would benefit from it.
