Keith Knowles OBE, is the CEO of Beds and Bars - a family business formed by his father in 1964. He is also Hon Cap Fleet Air Arm RNR.

Bed and Bars is a leading operator of budget tourist accommodation and entertainment venues, across the UK & Europe. The ever-growing company operates 21 backpacker hostels with 4 franchises across Europe spanning 13 cities and 9 countries with over 750 employees. St Christopher’s Inns, Belushi’s and The Flying Pig are just some of the award-winning brands within the company.

In 2017, Keith was awarded an OBE recognising his remarkable services to the community and charity.

As well as supporting Meningitis Now, Keith, is a proud supporter of the Team Margot Foundation and a number of youth charities across the UK, such as The Discovery Sailing Project, and Kids Out. Keith, is also the founder of Pub Aid, a charity where pubs come together to raise money for good causes.
