Nicola Wainwright

Nicola is a Partner in JMW Solicitors LLP and head of their clinical negligence team in the London office.

Nicola has 25 years experience and specialises exclusively in clinical negligence claims for patients arising from medical care that has gone wrong, or as a result of a failure to provide treatment.  She has expertise in a wide range of claims, but particularly those that are complex or that result in severe, life changing injuries.

Nicola has seen first-hand the devastating effects of meningitis, meningococcal septicaemia and group B Strep, having acted for many patients who have been left with life-long injuries such as brain damage and hearing loss when the first signs of the disease were not picked up or treated in time. She has also helped a number of bereaved families who have lost a child.

She is passionate about raising awareness of the symptoms of meningitis so less people have to face the injuries and grief her clients have suffered.  Nicola has been an amazing supporter of Meningitis Now for over 10 years.
