Professor Beverley Cherie Millar

Cherie is a clinical microbiologist at the Belfast City Hospital, with nearly three decades of experience in microbiology/infectious disease research, microbiology education, and public health communication. 

Cherie’s work has focused on the intersection of scientific evidence, health literacy, and professional education, aiming to ensure that critical information about meningitis and vaccination is accessible, understandable and actionable. She is particularly passionate about empowering patients, biomedical science students and trainees to make informed decisions and adopt safe practices.
